Is watches product placement working on us? Outwardly so…
I was at a movie theater a month or so ago and saw a film called ” Providential Number Slevin” which is your run-of-the-mill shoot em up, good guy/bad guy, twisted figure flick. It’s actually not a bad moving picture. It stars Josh Hartnett and Bruce Willis.
I won’t prompt away the story, but one of the high-ranking clues in the flick happened to be a lifeless person watch. In a singular scene in the movie, the camera pans down on one of the characters. He was wearing a inky suit and an IWC Aquatimer Chronograph. I was amazed by how open the shot of the watch was. I was amazed how collected the Aquatimer looked on the big sieve.
So a month or so later, I am in our showroom in Carmel, Ca chatting with one of our representatives. I do not recall how or why, but I gravitated toward the IWC come what may and there it was, the IWC Aquatimer Chronograph. It was line to me.
I asked the papal nuncio to open the case. I examined it, and then put it on. My ravenousness desire for this watch began at this danged moment. I felt as overconfident as Josh Hartnett (but I’m not). Anterior to this, I never intention of owning an IWC, but now I am trying to conspicuous a rely out how I could get my hands on one.
Am I that much of a artifact placement sucker OR was it that I not ever realized how cool this cautious of actually was?
Did I shortage a movie to show me the gaslight? Who knows, but all I know is I desire an Aquatimer now!
